St. Lawrence County Public Health reports another person has died due to COVID-19.
The total number of deaths has now risen to 165.
Public Health also reports 455 new cases as of Saturday, Jan. 22 through Monday, Jan. 24.
Total active cases remains have declined sharply over the last week, though remain well over 1,000.
Transmission levels of the virus is rated as high, Public Health said.
COVID by the numbers:
• Total number of confirmed positives to-date, 23,478
• Active cases, 1,220
• Released from isolation, 22,258
• Hospitalizations, 27
• Deaths, 165
• Total number of tests performed to date, 513,855
• Percentage of Fully vaccinated in St. Lawrence County, 59.2
• Percentage of St. Lawrence County positivity rate, 16.6
• Case Rate per 100K, 831.63
New York State has opened two Free COVID-19 testing sites in St. Lawrence County. Both sites use a minimally invasive cheek swab procedure.

The St. Lawrence County Public Health Department is in the process of reviewing the newly released New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Isolation and Quarantine Guidance at this time.
