North County This Week
Suzanne Fiacco has been appointed by the Board of Legislators to represent District 11 until the end of this year.
A Democrat, she was sworn in at the board’s June 29 Finance Committee Zoom meeting that was streamed online via YouTube.
Fiacco was unanimously appointed. There was no discussion prior to the vote.
She replaces Nance Arquiett, who recently resigned after the county’s Ethics Board said her position on the board was a conflict of interest with her employment as a DEC public information officer.
The board’s Republicans have not yet made a nomination to replace Henry Leader, who resigned at the same time as Arquiett.
