CANTON — Candidates who seek endorsement from the Conservative Party should reserve Feb. 15 to meet with the St. Lawrence County Conservative Party Executive Committee.

From 9 a.m. until finished, the Committee will hear from candidates for office in the conference room at the Social Services Building (same as DMV) on State Route 310 in Canton. Candidates should bring any promotional material they may have, and will be expected to make a statement of their positions on matters relevant to the office they seek. A question and answer period will follow. This will be the only endorsement meeting before the primary election.

“The Conservative Party supports the Constitution as it is written – to protect, among other things, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the right to petition the government and the right to keep and bear arms,” said Tom Daly, secretary of the St. Lawrence County Conservative Party. “The Conservative party believes in limited government influence over citizens and taxation only where necessary. Candidates should be prepared to answer questions pertinent to the aims of the Conservative Party.”

Candidates interested in obtaining the Conservative Party endorsement should email tdaly@tgdaly.com, or call/text 315-244-0356 to schedule a time slot on Feb. 15.
