The sales tax break on clothing and shoes returns in New York State on Friday.
This year, the exemption applies to clothing purchases of up to $55.
Beginning April 1 next year, the break doubles, when it will apply to clothing purchases of up to $110.
The new state budget agreement reinstated the sales tax break.
The clothing tax break, which had been in effect in the state, was rescinded during the past two years.
