MASSENA – A retirement reception for Massena Public Library Director Elaine Dunne and Assistant Director Debbie Fuehring will be held Wednesday, June 7, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the library. The retirement program will begin at 5:00 p.m.
The public is invited to attend.
Dunne has worked at the Massena Public Library for 23 years. She first served as Youth Services Librarian, and then as Director for the past 11 years.
Krista Briggs will be the new director, having worked previously at Canton Free Library as the Young Adult Services Specialist for 12 years, and five years as senior librarian with the NYS Dept. of Corrections in Gouverneur and Malone.
Fuehring has worked at Massena library for almost 28 years, with the past 21 years as Library Assistant-Adult Services-Assistant Director.
Heather Sarsfield, currently working as Library Assistant-Youth Service at Massena Library, will be the new Assistant Director.
The reception is hosted by the Massena Public Library Staff, Board of Trustees and Friends of the Library.
