POTSDAM — The Potsdam Pride Weekend and Festival in the Park from June 9-10 will feature drag shows, food, vendors, live entertainment and other activities.

The events are hosted by Potsdam Pride organization and Planned Parenthood of the North Country.

Things get started Friday, June 9 with drag queen Miss Amber Skyy and some of her drag-tastic friends with an evening show at Pine Street Arena at 7 p.m.

All IDs will be checked upon entrance to the Arena. Anyone without an ID, and anyone under the age of 21, will not be served alcohol.

Those under 21 may still attend the show, but organizers suggest an age of 18+.

Potsdam Pride’s Festival in the Park will be in Ives Park June 10.

Pride Yoga will be offered at 10 a.m. that day in the park led by instructor Sarah Mae Oakley.

Oakley has been teaching yoga for 15 years.

Tickets cost a suggested donation of $10-$15.

Oakley will donate her instructor fee to The Trevor Project to support LGBTQIA+ youth. Bring a mat or blanket and water.

All are welcome; no experience is needed.

A free community Pride festival with music, art, vendors, community resources, kids’ activities, and more will be held in Ives Park Saturday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Gazebo performance schedule: 12 p.m. drag performance by Amber Skyy; 2 p.m. musical performance by members of Uprooted; and 4 p.m. musical performance by The Local Service Initiative.

Over 30 vendors and community organizations will be on site.

Potsdam Pride 2023 will close with an all-ages Pride Prom at Pine Street Arena featuring DJ Double Dutch from 7-10 p.m.

Tickets are $10; but admission is free to anyone younger than 18 or with student ID.

Limited snacks & drinks will be provided. Register using the ticket link or pay at the door. The prom is sponsored in part by the Potsdam High School GSA.
