POTSDAM – Once again this year, Bob Porter of Misty Hollow, 22 Market St., is asking for toys that people don’t want anymore, so he can donate them to agencies and organizations that will put them into the hands of people who will apppreciate them this coming holiday season.
Last year, Porter’s effort brought in nearly 5,000 gently used toys and stuffed animals that went to nursing homes, Neighborhood Centers, day cares, Renewal House, Rose Hill, to police and emergency medical personnel, and into hospital emergency rooms.
Now Porter is asking again if youngsters can clean out their closets and toy chests and if families will look around the house to see what they can part with for kids that can use a little cheer.
All those who have donated in the past, and who will donate this year, have Porter’s gratitude.
Items can be dropped off at the store on Market Street.
For more info, call Porter at 265-1660.
