POTSDAM — A water main break on Pierrepont Avenue has led village officials to issue a boil water advisory.
The area impacted is on Pierrepont Avenue and Bay Street through the village line.
Residents are cautioned to boil water for any type of consumption.
For now residents should bring tap water to a rolling boil, boil for one minute, and cool before using. Or use bottled water.
The water main break happened some time early today, officials said.
Residents will be notified when it’s safe to consume.
