POTSDAM -- The village board passed a resolution at its Oct. 5 meeting honoring the late Thomas Plastino.
The resolution noted Plastino's "significant contributions in developing the economies of the Village of Potsdam and the wider North Country-Adirondack region."
Plastino served on the St. Lawrence County Industrial Development Agency, the county Solid Waste Disposal Authority and CITEC.
"Mr. Plastino will be remembered for his wit, wisdom, and for mentoring a generation of younger economic development professionals," the resolution read.
Plastino, of Canton, died on Sept. 6, of complications of acute myeloid leukemia.
