Jemison is the son of William Jemison and Elisabeth Chapman, and earned a GPA of 97.47.

"His hard work and determination to his academics, athletics, and community have left him more than qualified for this title," the school said in a news release. "[He] is a firm believer in understanding academic information on a deeper level, enabling him to use his educational resources both in and out of the classroom."

Jemison has taken both AP and honor courses throughout his high school career.

Additionally, Jemison has been a committed four-year member of our school orchestra. As a violinist, Jason was a four -time performer in Area All State and NYSSMA solos. Most notably, Jason received a perfect NYSSMA score his junior year, which enabled him to attend NYS Conference All-State.

Beyond his academic and orchestral achievements, Jemsion is a "dedicated" runner, the school said. He has been a member of the cross country, indoor, and outdoor track teams all four years of high school. As a "tenacious worker", he has contributed his talents in various leadership and responsibility roles, school officials said.

After high school, he plans to further his education in computer engineering. He will attend Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Worcester, Massachusetts. He is planning on studying computer and electrical engineering while pursuing a minor in music.

"He aims to make a positive difference in the field of engineering, for the greater good of society," the school said.

Mattimore is the son of Gary and Cassidy Mattimore, and earned a 96.98 average.

"Garrett has a deep appreciation and love for learning. He attributes his phenomenal academic success to his teachers and parents, who have always pushed him to try his hardest in everything he does," school officials said.

He is a National Merit Commendation and Science Olympiad recipient, a three-year member of the National Honor Society and Model United Nations where he serves as the president for both organizations.

In addition to this, Mattimore has taken several AP classes and participated in honors courses all four years of high school. He takes courses at Clarkson University through a dual-enrollment program with the school.

Outside of academics, Mattimore has remained "motivated and driven," according to the school. He is a four-year participant of the mock trial club, three-year band member, Key Club member, a peer tutor and a church volunteer. As an "actively contributing" PCS athlete, Garrett has played on and served as a captain for the varsity football and basketball teams at the school, the school said. He has also volunteered his time as a referee for the youth basketball league all four years of high school.

Mattimore hopes to pursue a career as a biomedical engineer, where he hopes to design and develop new medical devices to treat and prevent diseases.

He plans to attend the University of Buffalo in the fall.
