POTSDAM -- In recognition of the 125th anniversary of SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music, Congregation Beth El of Potsdam has presented a special artwork to the College.
SUNY Potsdam President Dr. John F. Schwaller and Crane School of Music Dean Dr. Michael Sitton were presented a signed and numbered print by the calligrapher Mordechai Rosenstein on behalf of the synagogue on July 17.
The piece is entitled "Chai Lite."
The frame included a dedication, which read: "Presented to Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam, celebrating 125 years of tradition and innovation. Congregation Beth El, Potsdam, NY, July 27, 2011."
