PARISHVILLE -- The Parishville Volunteer Fire Department will use a $10,000 donation toward the purchase of a Lucas 3.1 chest compression device.
The large donation was from Amets Post 265.
Parishville Post Commander Todd Daby presented the check to First Asst. Rescue Captain Chrissy Cool, Fire Chief Ed Cool and next generation firefighter Cooper.
The chest compression device performs perfectly timed and consistent chest compressions allowing EMT’S / paramedics to perform other life-saving measures.
"The total cost of this unit is $20,000 and without the generous donation from Post 265 the residents of our, and surrounding communities would have had to wait longer for this life saving device to be placed in service," officials said in a statement.
