OGDENSBURG -- City police say they arrested an Ogdensburg resident after investigating an alleged unlawful sexual relationship between a man and a child.
Police say the two rape charges “stem from multiple incidents over the last several years.” Consolini was charged with contempt for allegedly violating a stay-away order of protection, police said.
Consolini was arraigned in Ogdensburg City Court by Justice Gary Alford and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, Canton, in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
Ogdensburg Police were assisted in the investigation by the United States Department of Homeland Security and the St. Lawrence County Child Advocacy Center.
“Due to the nature of the crime no further information will be released in order to protect the identity of the victim,” police said in an announcement of Consolini’s arrest.
