Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, a senior member of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, voted to pass the Parents’ Bill of Rights (H.R. 5).

“Parents are the primary stakeholders in their child’s education, and House Republicans are working to protect their right to know what is going on inside their child’s classroom,” Stefanik said in a press release.“In the face of the woke agenda and radical CRT the Far Left is pushing even in the midst of devastating learning loss, we are ensuring parents have the transparency to know if their child is being properly equipped in the classroom. House Republicans are taking a critical step forward today to put parents back in the driver’s seat and fulfill our Commitment to America to create a future that is based on freedom.”

The Parents’ Bill of Rights provides parents the following rights:

Parents have the right to know what their children are being taught

Parents have the right to be heard

Parents have the right to see the school budget and spending

Parents have the right to protect their child’s privacy

Parents have the right to keep their children safe

"Stefanik is proud to stand up for parents, opposes any attempt to silence parents, and has led the charge in exposing the Biden Administration’s Department of Justice’s targeting of parents," a press release issued by her office said.
