The North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters endorsed Congresswoman Elise Stefanik for re-election to Congress.

Their union has over 28,000 members who work in the construction industry, the campaign said.

The North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters “is focused on developing labor laws that serve a robust workforce in a critical industry,” according to a statement from Stefanik’s re-election campaign.

"We’re very proud to endorse Congresswoman Stefanik in her re-election bid this November,” William Banfield, assistant to the executive secretary/treasurer said in a prepared statement from the Stefanik campaign. “Elise stands up for our workers, fights for North Country jobs, and advances fair trade policy and legislation. We look forward to continuing our work with her for another 2 years."

“I am honored to be endorsed by the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters for re-election to Congress,” Stefanik, R-Schuylerville, said in a prepared statement. “My work in Congress is focused on ensuring our workforce is equipped with fair labor laws and standards, meaningful wages, and the necessary programs in place to stimulate job creation. I am grateful that the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters has recognized my work and knows that I am the only candidate in this race who has their best interests in mind. I’m looking forward to continuing to work with them through the election and in my next term in Congress.”
