North Country This Week
CANTON – A variety of fresh baked goods and lunch items will soon be available in downtown Canton.
Sweet Retreats Bakery will be opening for business Aug. 2 at 67 Main St., according to owner Madison White.
“I saw the space was for rent and I felt it was a really good move,” said White. “I am so excited.”
White currently operates her bakery on US Highway 11 in the village of DeKalb Junction. That business will close July 16, she noted.
Sweet Retreats Bakery will offer special order cakes, cookies, turnovers, breakfast sandwiches, along with hot and cold coffee, and other daily menu-based items such as cinnamon buns, cannolis, scones, croissants, cupcakes, coffee cake, and cookie bars as posted on her Facebook page.
White said she may also offer a salad bar.
Bakery hours will be Tuesday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
To place an order, customers can call (315) 854-0177.
