MASSENA -- Eowyn Hewey has become Arconic Massena Operations plant manager following the retirement of Steve Rombough, effective June 1.
Rombough joined the company in March 31, 1998 as a process engineer.
His career led him to a management track where he was potroom and aluminum services superintendent, casthouse manager and then manufacturing superintendent prior to his plant manager role.
He has served on the board of directors of the Massena Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Hewey joined the company in 1998 and has been Massena’s human resources manager for the last four years, after serving in numerous production leadership positions.
She is involved in the community and serves on the board of directors of the Greater Massena Chamber of Commerce, the Women’s Leadership Initiative, and St. Lawrence Valley HR Management Association.
Hewey received her bachelor’s degree from SUNY Potsdam and master’s degree from Clarkson University.
Arconic Massena Operations employs about 150 people and produces aluminum extrusions, primarily for industrial and automotive uses.
