MASSENA -- Masks will be once again required when entering the municipal building.
The announcement was made Friday based on the latest recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
“The Town and Village of Massena will once again be requiring masks for all those entering any municipal building operated by either entity, as well as jointly operated facilities, regardless of vaccination status. The reasoning for the reintroduction of this policy is due to the recent, significant increase in positive COVID-19 cases within St. Lawrence County, as well as St. Lawrence County’s designation of a high transmission area for COVID-19 and the confirmed presence of the Delta variant in New York State,” the announcement stated.
Town and village employees have also been provided a directive to follow and have guidelines for safe work habits.
