LISBON — A Lisbon man was jailed Monday on multiple felony charges after allegedly having sexual contact with a child under age 13, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Douglas M. Monroe, 36, was charged with predatory sexual assault, felony, first-degree rape, felony, first-degree sexual conduct against a child, felony, first-degree criminal sex act, felony, and first-degree sexual abuse, felony, officers said.
The investigation revealed that Monroe had sexual contact with the child on numerous occasions over an 18-month period, deputies said. The incident allegedly took place in Lisbon and Ogdensburg.
Deputies said their investigation is ongoing.
Monroe was arraigned in city court and was ordered held in St. Lawrence County jail without bail, officers said.
