BOMBAY — St. Lawrence County Legislator Tony Arquiett was sentenced to three years probation on April 19 stemming from a head-on collision in the town of Bombay in December.
Arquiett was found to be intoxicated following the accident and in possession of two and a half grams of cocaine, police said at the time.
Under the terms of the plea deal, Arquiett plead guilty to misdemeanor DWI in January.
During sentencing Arquiett will face three years probation, to be overseen by the Franklin County probationary board to avoid a conflict of interest, as well as a six-month revocation of his license and a $500 fine that also incurs a $400 surcharge, Franklin County District Attorney Jonathan Miller said.
Arquiett has also attended a court ordered victim impact panel session, is currently attending an Impaired Driver Program and voluntarily enrolled in an alcohol and substance abuse treatment program, Miller confirmed.
