HOPKINTON -- A Lawrence man was charged with driving while intoxicated June 20 following investigation of an accident involving an ATV and a motorcycle, according to state police.
Troopers said they responded to an accident near Wilson Road around 7:10 p.m.
Investigation reportedly revealed that a 2002 Suzuki ATV being operated by 45-year old Michael R. Woods of Lawrence was traveling east on Wilson Road when he attempted to turn left into a driveway and failed to yield the right of way to an oncoming motorcycle, operated by 33-year-old Justin J. Gibson of Hopkinton, who was traveling west.
Woods and his passenger, 42-year-old Ann M. Woods were ejected from the ATV onto the northern shoulder.
Gibson was also ejected onto the northern shoulder. Anne Woods and Gibson were both transported to the Canton-Potsdam Hospital for minor injuries.
Michael Woods was charged with first-offense DWI, police said. His blood alcohol content was reportedly 0.08%.
Woods was cited and released.
