LISBON -- The Lisbon Volunteer Fire Department is asking the community to join in celebrating 100 years of service Dec. 5 at 5 p.m. at the fire hall.
"We would like to invite the community to join us in celebrating 100 years of service! We will be hosting an open house to celebrate and thank the community and its members for our 100 years of history together," the fire department said in an announcement to the public.
"There will be refreshments, and free giveaways as well as a chance to see our equipment up close. We will also have a one-of-a-kind US Postal commemorative stamp cancellation available from 12 p.m.to 8 p.m.," he said. "This will also be a chance for us to debut our new custom built rescue truck (R-92) for the first time as we expect delivery only a few days prior. We hope to see you all there and thank you for 100 years"
