POTSDAM -- Potsdam police say a lengthy investigation into a series of thefts from homes in the village has resulted in the arrest of a Constable man.
Alexander D. Ritchie, 22, was charged last Thursday, police say, with petit larceny. The charges are in connection with thefts of cash and gift cards.
When the thefts occurred, police say Ritchie was a salesperson for Schwan's Foods, a home-delivery grocery service.
Ritchie, whom police say was arrested at Debra Drive Aoartments, is ordered to appear in village court March 23.
