POTSDAM -- Mystikal, a metaphysical and holistic store, is planning a grand opening May 15 at 2 Elm St., Potsdam.

The new store will feature reiki, tarot card and palm readings by appointment.

It will also sell healing products, including CBD oil and other essential oil products, hemp, bath salts, soaps, lotions, body butter, sage, lavender, healing crystals and stones, and tarot cards.

Books, candles, incense, jewelry, leggings, dream catchers, magic wands, decorative and homemade items are among other items for sale.

Local owner Angela Dunsin said, “There is a need for a store in the area where people can go to receive services that are geared toward healthier and natural ways of living and healing.”

She is excited to offer a storefront location to help others. “A store is a better option than paying for more expensive services and products online or over the phone.”

“I am a spiritual advisor. I have helped a lot of people. I provide an alternative to using drugs and alcohol,” she said. “It is a warm, peaceful environment. There is no judgment when you come in here.”

Dunsin has provided psychic and spiritual services at SpiritFest and Fantasy Faire in Potsdam, as well as online and at her home.

The store is having a “soft opening” before the official grand opening May 15. Store hours are Wednesday and Thursday 9-6, Friday and Saturday 9-7, and Sunday 10-6.
