OGDENSBURG -- In an effort to raise awareness and diagnosis of peripheral vascular disease (PVD), doctors and nurses at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center will provide a free PVD screening from 4-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 1, in the hospital’s auditorium. Appointments are required.
Affecting an estimated 8 million Americans, PVD is characterized by leg pain, numbness or weakness in the legs, or sores on the feet that are slow to heal.
Dr. Ali Gharagozloo, chief of radiology, will be joined by surgeons on staff for the screenings.
