FOWLER — A Fowler woman was charged with felony driving while intoxicated after running from state police early Sunday morning.
Troopers said they conducted a traffic stop around 2:45 a.m. on a 2019 Jeep Cherokee that was traveling north on State Route 812 at a speed of 70 mph in a 55 mph zone.
The operator pulled into a driveway, parked the vehicle, then exited the vehicle and ran behind a residence, officers said.
Troopers located the female suspect and she was identified as 45-year-old Pamela S. Dean.
Dean refused to submit to a chemical test to determine her blood alcohol content.
A check of her license revealed her driving privileges had been suspended due to a previous DWI conviction.
She was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and DWI.
Dean was virtually arraigned and released on tickets returnable in court at a later date, officers said.
