44 new cases of COVID-19 reported in St. Law. County Weds.; cumulative total now over 1,000

Forty-four new cases were reported today (Wednesday, Dec. 2), bringing the total number of confirmed positive cases to-date to 1,008.

Seven hundred and forty-nine cases have been released from isolation.

Eight cases are hospitalized.

Sixteen deaths have occurred; this fatality data comes from the New York State Department of Health and was last updated on Dec. 2 before 2 p.m.

Public Health said 119,222 COVID-19 tests have been performed as of Dec. 2. This testing data comes from the New York State Department of Health and was last updated on Dec. 2 before 2 p.m.

Testing is being done through both St. Lawrence Health Systems and Claxton Hepburn Medical Center. Testing is by appointment only.
