Former Canton Central student-athlete on national championship lacrosse team

A former Canton Central School student athlete is a member of a national champion college lacrosse team.

Isaac Thrasher scored a goal and had two assists in Salisbury University’s 17-12 win over Tufts University in the NCAA Division III championship lacrosse game on May 28 in Philadelphia, Pa.

Thrasher attended Hugh C. Williams High School through his junior year in 2017 and graduated from Brewster Academy in New Hampshire in 2018. He graduated from Salisbury this year with his MBA.

He has been a starter on attack for the last two year at Salisbury. His career statistics are impressive. He had 101 goals, 28 assists and recorded a .682 shots on goals percentage. He scored a career-high six goals in a game earlier this season against then #1 ranked Christopher Newport University.

He is the son of Michael Thrasher and Christine Thrasher. A brother, Eben, lives in Potsdam and attends SUNY Potsdam. A second brother, Ian, lives in Canton is completing his freshman year of high school.
