STOCKHOLM — A fire destroyed a home at 1422 Old Market Road early this morning.
A passerby called in the blaze around midnight, according to West Stockholm Assistant Chief Torey Russell.
He said firefighters had the blaze under control in about a half hour, but the fire had too much of a head start and the home is considered a total loss.
The house was unoccupied at the time of the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Firefighters from Norwood, Norfolk, Brasher-Winthrop responded to the scene, along with Potsdam Rescue.
Potsdam fire and West Potsdam fire were on standby for West Stockholm.
