Dry weather is expected today as a weak area of high pressure builds into the region with highs a few degrees above seasonal normals, followed by warmer temperatures on Monday with highs in the 80s to around 90, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

There will be a high today around 82 with sunny skies. An overnight low of 64 is expected.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop Monday afternoon, with some of the storms potentially becoming strong to severe.

Showers continue through Tuesday, with drier weather returning by midweek, NWS says.
