NP Lizotte earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree through the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at the State University of New York Polytechnic Institute, Utica, NY. She is a member of the Nurse Practitioner Association, and American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

“I have lived in Northern New York since 2005 and started my healthcare career as an aide in the Emergency Department at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. After working for the last 10 years in Jefferson County, I am honored to return to St. Lawrence County and be part of the health system as a Nurse Practitioner. I grew up in Maine, so transitioning to the North Country was seamless,” NP Lizotte said.

“I am providing primary care to patients of all ages, and take the physical, psychological, and socioeconomic needs of each patient into consideration when treating them,” she added. “My goal is to provide the education, encouragement, and resources each patient needs to achieve their individual wellness goals.”

NP Lizotte said she easily relates to the members of the local communities, and is looking forward to meeting and caring for the patients at Edwards Health Center and the Gouverneur Hospital CPH Specialty Suite.

NP Lizotte joins the St. Lawrence Health medical team with extensive experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a certified Department of Transportation Medical Examiner, Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic, and Firefighter I.

As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Ms. Lizotte covers a spectrum of specialties, including pediatrics, women's health, and adult-geriatric care. She provides general and preventative care, conducts check-ups, treats illnesses, orders lab tests, and prescribes medication for children and adults.
