Democratic voters have chosen town council candidates in Louisville and Norfolk, and Republicans have selected candidates for town clerk in Morristown, town supervisor in Colton, highway superintendent in Hammond and Clifton, and town justice in Russell.

In primary voting Tuesday for next fall’s election, Nancy Charleston, with 78 votes, and Shawn Thompson, 77, won a three-way Democratic race for two town council seats. Roy A. Beshaw received 38 votes.

In Norfolk, Richard Bump, with 78 votes, and Jean Gang, with 60, won a three-way race to become Democratic candidates for two town council seats. Robert Harvey received 32.

In Morristown, GOP voters selected Jill Sullivan for town clerk over Leanna Moquin, 123-50. Sullivan also won the Conservative primary, 6-1.

In a Republican primary, Ronnie Robert won a race against Peggy L. Mousaw for Colton town supervisor, 95-42.

In Fowler, GOP voters appear to have chosen Scott Anthony Cleveland, with 86 votes, and Lynn E. Bishop, with 59, for two town council seats. Michael J, Cappellino received 57 votes. The results could change, however, because results are unofficial and do not include absentee ballots.

In Russell, Marty Dumoulin was selected GOP town justice candidate over Gregory Jenne, 23-14.

In Hammond, Ted Elk won a Republican primary contest for superintendent of highways against Roger Hadlock, 66-60.

In Clifton, Kelly J. Smith came out ahead in a race against Craig Perrault for superintendent of highways, 64-21.

The results could change, however, because results are unofficial and do not include absentee ballots.
