POTSDAM – The Cerebral Palsy Association of the North Country golf tournament Sept. 10 raised about $4,100 for the association’s programs and services.
The tournament was organized by CPANC's summer golf committee, Makenzie Taylor, Ashley Peggs, Shannon Harvey, Stacey Barney and Mark Lyon, and drew 66 participants.
"I think the turnout was great for the first year, but we hope to make it bigger and better for next year,” said Taylor, the association’s spokeswoman.
CPANC sais they were grateful to event sponsor NBT Bank and its group of hole sponsors: Elk's Lodge 772 in Ogdensburg, Blevins Motors in Potsdam, Blevins Bros in Ogdensburg, Deer River Exquisite Events, Hospice in Canton, Brooks Washburn AIA, members of the Canton Volunteer Fire Department, CJ's Kegs Cases & More in Potsdam, Mort Backus and Sons in Ogdensburg, Beauty Inn in Ogdensburg, The Ole Smokehouse in Madrid, Advanced Business Solutions, Casella Waste Systems, Inc., Rose & Kiernan Inc. in Watertown, SR Development / Steve Rand and The Lobster House in Norwood.
