New York State’s school reporting site for COVID-19 cases is now online.
After some delay, New York State has released COVID-19 testing data for individual school districts.
The website had been offline for the past few weeks as schools reopened, making it hard for parents to keep track of COVID-19 cases within local districts.
Although some school districts still lack updated data for the majority of St. Lawrence County Districts the numbers are current as of Sept. 24
Those interested can search for specific data at https://schoolcovidreportcard.health.ny.gov/#/home
Data for the county’s largest school district follows:
• Ogdensburg City School District reported 35 positive tests within the school district.
This includes 17 students and one teacher at John F. Kennedy, one student and one teacher at Madill School and 15 students at Ogdensburg Free Academy.
• Massena School District reports 22 positive tests including two students and two teachers at J. William Leary Junior High, one student and one teacher at Jefferson elementary, eight students at Madison Elementary, two students at Massena Senior high School and six students at Nightengale elementary.
• Norwood-Norfolk Central School reports 18 positive tests including four students at Norwood-Norfolk Elementary, eight students and one teacher at Norwood-Norfolk Middle School and five students at Norwood-Norfolk High School.
• Brasher Falls Central School District reports 18 positive tests with six students at St. Lawrence Elementary, two students and one teacher at St. Lawrence High School and eight students and one teacher at St. Lawrence Middle School.
• Canton Central School reports 16 positive cases at the district including 10 students and one teacher at Banford Elementary, two students at H.C. Williams Senior High and three students at J.M. McKenney Middle School
• Potsdam Central School reports 15 positive tests including four at AA Kingston Middle School, five students and one teacher at Lawrence Avenue Elementary and five students at Potsdam Senior High.
