Clouds along with some fog and light rain showers will exist across the North Country this morning before drier air slowly moves in this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Clouds will decrease in areal coverage but there could be a few showers popping up in the northern mountains this afternoon, forecasters say. Below normal temperatures are expected today with a high near 69 likely.

An overnight low of 53 is forecasted with mostly cloudy skies and winds of 5-7 miles per hour, the service says.

Expect increasing amounts of sunshine during the weekend with a gradual warming trend as well.

Highs on Saturday will be near 76 and around 78 Sunday, with sunny skies both days, NWS says.
