COLTON – Peggy L. Mousaw, Colton, will present at the NYS Government Finance Officers (GFOA) Annual Conference in Albany on March 30 on the topic of "Annual ARPA Reporting for NEU's."

ARPA, the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, also called the COVID-19 Stimulus Package, is a US $1.9 trillion economic stimulus bill - $362 billion went to State and Local municipalities. NEU's (Non Entitlement Units) are primarily municipalities that received less than $10 million in funding. Towns and Villages received: in St. Lawrence County $5,525,111, Jefferson County $4,289,115, Lewis County $1,348,509. NEU's are required to report annually April 30th each year until 2027. Funds by municipality is available at: https://openbudget.ny.gov/covid-funding/localarpa/local-ARPA-NEU-allocations.pdf

Mousaw files annual ARPA reports for municipalities statewide and works with the NYS Association of Towns, NYS Conference of Mayors, NYS Government Finance Officer's Association and PTAC of Watertown to provide information to municipalities.

Mousaw is a NYS Certified Women Owned Business, FEMA Certified Exercise Evaluator, and a retired NYS Credentialed Municipal Finance Officer. Ms. Mousaw serves on the Planning Committee of the SUNY Potsdam Local Government Conference, is a USA Luge Olympic/International Level Race Official and volunteers frequently for ORDA events.
