High pressure will remain in control today, but the air mass will moderate with high temperatures closer to freezing in St. Lawrence County, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Thereafter, low pressure approaching the region will bring periods of mixed wintry precipitation to the region Monday afternoon into Tuesday, forecasters predict.

The high today will be 33 with sunny skies and an overnight low tonight of 19, the service says.

There is a chance of sleet Monday morning with temps near 30 and partly sunny skies, NWS says.

Ice accumulation of one to two tenths of an inch is possible, resulting in potentially icy travel conditions, NWS says.
