MASSENA — Carnival games, contests, a petting zoo and food were among the offerings at the Police Activity League (PAL) of Massena during their annual carnival BBQ.

About 100 student members and their families were celebrating the end of the school year after-school program June 15.

“We’ve all been excited for this annual family picnic,” said PAL Director Jodie Hammock.

Alyssa Therrein, Zack Frank, and Roysen Curleyhead were awarded “PAL Members of the Year” for following the PAL program's values, including leadership, kindness and assertiveness.

The BBQ meat was donated by Websters Food Service, and the rest of the picnic food was donated by North Country Collation Services (NCCS), said Hammock.
