CANTON -- Three North Country residents were arrested Tuesday morning following a traffic stop on CR 14, according to state police.

Troopers said they conducted a traffic stop shortly before 9 a.m. and three people were arrested after they were found in possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a weapon was found on one of the suspects.

Troopers charged 24-year-old Logan M. Johns of Hermon with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, due to previous felony conviction, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, officers said.

Johns was also found to be operating with a suspended license and in possession of a switchblade, police said.

Johns was virtually arraigned by Canton Town Court and released under his own recognizance.

Police said they charged 37-year-old Victoria L. Baker of Rensselaer Falls, with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Officers said they charged 33-year-old Troy D. Burns of Lafargeville with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Baker and Burns were both released on appearance tickets returnable to Canton Town Court.
