CANTON -- Each year on Canton’s Village Green, the Remington Arts Festival Art Show & Sale takes place to celebrate the life of Frederic Remington.
The event was held on Saturday, Oct. 3 and visitors and exhibitors followed social distancing and mask-wearing guidelines.
Exhibiting artist Catherine LaPointe Vollmer of Lionheart Graphics mentioned “the turnout was higher than I expected,” and local artists participating expressed their appreciation for the event as many direct sales opportunities this year have been cancelled due to the pandemic.
This year, the annual Remington Arts Festival Art Show & Sale was made possible in part by sponsorship from the Brewer Bookstore at St. Lawrence University, said a press release from SLC Arts. Rose & Kiernan Insurance also supported the event this year, SLC Arts said.
