CANTON — State Police in the Computer Crime Unit have arrested a Canton man for possessing child pornography.
Jeremy T. Dissottle, 27, was charged with promotion of a sexual performance by a child and possession of a sexual performance by a child stemming form an incident that occurred in June 2022.
Police responded to Ellis Road in the town of Canton for a report of an individual allegedly accessing child sexual abuse material over the internet.
Police say the investigation determined Dissottle had obtained and viewed child sexual abuse material.
Dissottle was issued appearance tickets returnable in Town of Potsdam Court for December 7.
State Police were assisted by Homeland Security Investigations and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
