CANTON — A Canton man was charged Tuesday stemming from a stolen vehicle pursuit that took place this summer, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Ian J. Johns, 37, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, felony, third-degree criminal mischief, felony, third-degree criminal mischief, felony, third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer, misdemeanor, and several vehicle and traffic law violations, officers said.
Deputies said Johns crashed the stolen vehicle on CR 15 into trees but fled the scene and was located at a later time.
State police, and Ogdensburg Police K-9 assisted during the incident.
Johns was cited and is to face the charges in court at a later date.
