The COVID pandemic broke that string; the 2020 recital was via Zoom. In-person recitals resumed, though, in 2021, in a unique manner: outdoors, in her driveway. With the performers on keyboard under a canopy and the audience socially distancing in “BYO” chairs, music filled a fine early summer evening on June 14.
“Miss Barbara” led off by playing “A Sky Full of Stars” by Coldplay, and the final offering was by Canton High School senior Sam Pfotenhauer, completing 13 years of piano lessons, playing Pachelbel’s “Canon in D” and “Linus and Lucy” by Guaraldi.
