SUNY Canton historically has exceptionally high participation levels and holds blood drives each semester, according to Farren C. Lobdell, director of wellness promotions. During spring 2021, the college collected 38 units of blood from 45 donors, potentially saving 114 lives. In all, the college has held 88 drives and helped collect 4,030 units.
College sorority Alpha Chi Omicron Inc. will host the fall blood drive with members helping with organization and registration.
Student clubs and Greek organizations volunteer to help ensure the drives are successful.
