86 new COVID cases in St. Lawrence County Wednesday, state plans pop-up vax clinic in Ogdensburg

St. Lawrence County Public Health reports 86 new cases as of Wednesday, Oct. 13.

COVID by the numbers in St. Lawrence County:

Total number of confirmed positives to-date: 11,487

Active cases: 572

Released from isolation: 10,793

Hospitalizations: 21

Deaths: 122

Total number of tests performed to date: 410,543

% of Fully vaccinated in St. Lawrence County: 54.2

% of St. Lawrence County positivity rate: 6.4

The St. Lawrence County Public Health Department is currently holding COVID-19 Vaccination clinics every Monday and Wednesday at 80 St. Hwy 310, Suite 2, Canton. To make an appointment, call 315-229-3452.

Vaccinations are available at local pharmacies.

If you or someone you know is homebound and is interested in receiving a COVID-19 vaccine, call Public Health at 315-386-2325.

Pfizer Booster Clinics - Appointments are required for the Booster Clinics.

Pfizer vaccine recipients 18 years of age and older who have completed their initial series of Pfizer at least 6 months ago and meet the eligibility criteria for a booster vaccination. To view these populations, please follow this link: CDC- Who is eligible for a COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Shot

Testing is being done at the locations listed below. Some urgent cares and provider offices are also performing testing. Testing is by appointment only.

State University of New York Chancellor Jim Malatras today announced that SUNY students are nearing full compliance with the New York State Vaccine Mandate, reaching 99.5 percent compliance, allowing SUNY students to enjoy a more normal on-campus college experience this semester after a difficult past year and a half.

A state #VaxtoSchool pop-up vaccination clinic will be held at Ogdensburg Free Academy on Thursday, Oct. 14 from 2-5 p.m.

The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center and Health Services reported no new positive COVID-19 cases in Akwesasne’s southern portion.

One individual has been released from isolation.

Eighteen total active cases and one hospitalization still remain under the Tribe’s jurisdiction.

There are eight individuals in quarantine.
