CANTON - St. Lawrence County Public Health is reporting that there have been 60 confirmed new cases of COVID-19 reported between Friday, Aug. 6 and Monday, Aug. 9.

The new cases bring the total number of confirmed cases recorded in the county since the start of the pandemic to 7,749.

Eighty-eight cases are currently active, reports Public Health.

Public Health reports 7,564 cases have been released from isolation since the pandemic began.

Seven cases are currently hospitalized.

Ninety seven deaths have occurred; this fatality data comes from the New York State Department of Health and was last updated Aug. 9 before 2 p.m.
