Though both the Clarkson University Men's and Women's Basketball teams went without wins this past week, two individuals stood out and gained Liberty League Weekly Honors. Junior Chrissy Scanlon (Queensbury, NY) was chosen as a Liberty League Performer of the Week for the women's team, while freshman Nate Uline (Gansevoort, NY) was picked as Liberty League Rookie of the Week for the third straight week.
Scanlon, who received the honor for the third time this year, scored a career-high 25 points against William Smith on Friday evening, the most by any Clarkson player this year. Over the course of three games, she averaged 15.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game while shooting 57.1 percent from the floor. She recorded her fifth and sixth double-doubles of the season this weekend.
For the season, Scanlon ranks 14th in the conference in scoring with 11.3 points per game. She also ranks ninth in rebounding (7.0 rpg) and is fourth in field-goal percentage (46.6%).
Uline, who was chosen as Liberty League Rookie of the Week for the third straight week, averaged 9.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, recording 15 points in a one-point loss to St. Lawrence. On the year, Uline is averaging 8.1 points and 5.9 rebounds per game, ranking second in the conference in field goal percentage (53.4%) and first in offensive rebounds (2.6 orpg). In conference games, Uline is 16th in the league in scoring and fourth in rebounding.
