HOW IT HAPPENED
Lynk tallied a pair of hits and walked once to lead the Roos on Saturday. Edward Malinoski, Jr. also reached base twice with a hit and walk increasing his on-base percentage to a team-best .452 on the season.
Jeff Hyde, Brandon Bautista, Jesse Iacovetta and Ricky Arias had Canton's other hits v. the Cardinals.
St. John Fisher scored two runs in the third on an RBI ground out and sacrifice fly. The Cardinals added two more runs in the fourth on a Stephen Edgett 2 RBI double.
Edgett led the Cardinals with 3 RBI, while Allen Murphy recorded three hits. Ryan Simmons and Ryan Brown also had multi-hit outings.
Derrek DuPont took the loss striking out three batters but allowing four earned runs on 10 hits. RJ Kuruts took the win for Fisher striking out seven batters and scattering six hits over six innings.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Roos return to action on Wednesday at 2 p.m. against Utica College. The teams will finish a game that was halted to darkness on April 10th before playing a nine-inning contest.
