Sophomore Katie VanDeValk (Baldwinsville, NY) highlighted an exceptionally strong outing by the Clarkson University Women’s Lacrosse team with a seven-goal effort as the Golden Knights opened the 2011 campaign with a 19-10 victory over Kean University at Wide World of Sports in Disney, Orlando, FL on Monday afternoon.
Last year’s leading scorer, sophomore Alyssa Cristaldi (North Syracuse, NY) also enjoyed a standout performance, scoring five goals. Junior Saryn Campbell (West Bolton, VT) chipped in two goals, while senior Cammie Hayes (Queensbury, NY), junior Mary Twiss (Potsdam, NY), sophomore Kerrie Cline (Tuxedo, NY) and freshman Marissa Mastronardi (Cortland, NY) scored one goal apiece.
