(Philadelphia, Pa.)- Eight different players scored a goal for the men's ice hockey team Saturday night as they swept Drexel University with an 8-3 win over the Dragons in Philadelphia.

The Roos improved to 7-1 and will go for their third straight win on Sunday when they play at Cortland State at 3:30 p.m.

The game started the same way it did Friday night with Drexel getting on the board first midway through the opening period.

But it was all SUNY Canton from that point on as senior tri-captain Eric Cook (Cary, N.C.) scored his second goal of the weekend at the 12:38 mark of the first that started a run of five unanswered goals ending with a tally from Rob Liggio (Canton, N.Y.) at the 8:16 mark of the second period.

The Dragons did pull within two goals at 5-3 with 12 minutes left in the third period, but the Roos closed the game with three straight scores from Cory Bercume (Potsdam, N.Y.), Corey Spuck (Rochester, N.Y.) and Eric Richard (St.-Hubert, Quebec).

Corey Frizell (Orleans, N.Y.) finished with one goal and two assists for the Roos. Darren Camp (Canton, N.Y.) and Adam Fedor (Orleans, N.Y.) also scored and Camp, Cook, Liggio, and Bercume each added an assist.

Jeremiah Hardin (Alpharetta, Ga.) contributed three assists and Doug Burns (Manchester, N.H.) had two.

Jimmy Merrow (Plainsboro, N.J.) earned his sixth win of the year as he stopped 15 of 18 shots in goal.

Adam Birmingham had 30 saves for the Dragons (1-9).
